Three Carriers Added to SIS WebLink/UpLink Capabilities

WebLink and UpLink are favorite features of Partner users, which provide a Real Time link between Partner and insurance company Web sites. This eliminates the need for a user to explicitly sign on to a company Web site and navigate the site to search for specific information. SIS WebLink provides a direct shortcut to that page so that the user can get to where they want with one click.

Recently, SIS worked with the Motorists Insurance Group and Western Reserve Group to certify them both for WebLink. In addition, Farmers Insurance Group is now certified for UpLink.

The Motorists Insurance Group was among the top-three carriers that Partner users listed in a survey asking which carriers they would most like to see certified for WebLink. Tom Campana, Assistant Vice President Agency Interface of The Motorists Insurance Group, explained that when this fact was identified in a previous Partner Preview, there was no hesitation in signing up to get certified.

“We know that WebLink benefits our agents. Real Time functionality greatly improves efficiency and streamlines agency workflows,” Tom said. “We have a good number of agents that use Partner, so this was a clear decision.”

“The certification process was straight-forward and seamless,” Tom said. “It couldn’t have been any easier.”

WebLink/UpLink Benefits Carriers and Agents

SIS WebLink makes life easier for users. WebLink is established from the policy level and bridges to company defined Web site functions, such as Policy Inquiry, Billing Information, Claims, etc.  These functions can include the UpLink or file transfer of an AL3 image of the policy. As the link is established, the pertinent data is passed to the browser to take the user to the company site, directly to the function requested for that policy.

Meanwhile, one benefit for carriers is that WebLink substantially reduces the navigation burden on the company Web site, making it easier to access, more responsive, and less cumbersome.

Carriers and agents can be confident knowing information is not being put at risk by using WebLink. WebLink implements strong encryption and security measures to make sure there is no breach of security.
