Product Profiles XE Pre-Conversion Utility Ensures Data Integrity By Chris Jones, SIS Senior Programmer/Analyst, and Allen Verplatse, SIS Senior Programmer
At SIS, we’re buzzing about the first conversions of our users to the new Partner XE system, and we hope you are too! As you’ll read in the Agency Focus section, Connor Insurance Agency was the first to make the transition. To help Connor Insurance and the rest of you get ready to make the change, we’ve developed a thorough pre-conversion utility.
The pre-conversion utility was automatically included in the last Partner 6 upgrade. It was designed to assess your existing data files and identify any corrections that need to be made before your information is transferred to the new system. If you’re not sure you have this latest upgrade, click on Help from the Partner menu bar and select About SEMCI PARTNER. A screen will appear indicating your current Partner version. It should be Partner 6.2.03.
If you find that you are not on the most recent version, please email us at service@sisware.com, and we’ll be happy to get you set up to take advantage of the pre-conversion utility.
To help you understand the importance of the pre-conversion utility, think of it this way: If you were to move your office, you would clean out your files. The switch to Partner XE is the same way: you don’t want to carry over unneeded information into your new system. The pre-conversion utility helps to identify and weed out information that either needs corrected prior to conversion or is information you may choose not to have converted because it is simply data you no longer need.
Our goal is to make the transition to Partner XE as easy and fast for you as possible and the pre-conversion utility is the first step in the process.
At the same time, your SIS team is actively contacting carriers for download, WebLink and UpLink to re-certify them under the Partner XE system. In addition, all carriers capable of downloading direct bill commission information are being certified for XE. As you can imagine, there is a large number of carriers to work with, so we will continue to forge ahead with certifications to bring you the most up-to-date interface functionality possible.

Conversion Timing: As your writing companies become certified for interface with Partner XE and you become eligible for conversion, SIS will contact your agency to initiate the process. In the meantime, thank you for your patience.
